This past week was full of unexpected fortunate discoveries, like finding myself around the corner from a For Love and Lemons and Vanessa Mooney sample sale, meeting up with an old high school friend who I ended up singing a lease with for a charming old Hollywood style apartment (for a steal!), chatting with Pharrell at the premier of Despicable Me 2 and biking past the one and only Rumi Neely of Fashiontoast. L.A. was quite a ride and the yummiest taste of what's soon to come.
I toured my future school, FIDM, and was more than impressed with stature of the student's work and the professionalism of the facility itself. The library at FIDM in downtown Los Angeles has every Vogue published since 1938, including editions of Vogue from 12 countries, a textile and materials room full of every fabric you could possibly imagine, over 40 trend forecasting services and that’s just the tip of the iceberg.
From Fred Segal to the Venice Canals, Abbott Kinney and Universal Studios my week was jam-packed and I loved every second of it, and my one way ticket to California is just two weeks away :)
I'm wearing my new crochet fringe Nighcap Clothing shorts and Vanessa Mooney necklace layered over my favorite vintage turquoise piece from Frisk Accessories. I knotted my skeleton muscle tee from Urban Outfitters and paired this ensemble with my Topshop booties to tone down the femininity of these fabulously versatile lace shorts. And the best part, I'm standing on the roof of my aunt and uncles beautiful house in Marina Del Ray full of vibrant succulents.
