into the woods

by jessica harshman

I was inspired to salvage this Generra peasant top from the depths of my closet after I saw how blogger Olivia Lopez from Lust for Life casually tucked in her dreamy Cynthia Vincent embroidered blouse into burgundy jeans. While blog-browsing can sometimes lead to impulse purchases or make me want to take a torch to my wardrobe and start afresh, I'm often inspired to just dig a little deeper and reinvent those pieces collecting dust, yet not quite enough dust to give away or sell. This weekend I went through my denim collection and ripped up and distressed jeans that I haven't worn since high school, but haven't had the guts to get rid of. It was risk worth taking, my outdated gray True Religions have been revived.

Also, I scored this Cleobella tote from a sample sale in LA a few weeks ago and if you are looking for a bohemian handbag, fringe or fur, I highly recommend checking out Cleobella's website.

Wearing: Carmar Coated Denim - similar, Generra Blouse - similar, Lucky Brand Booties - LOVE these, Cleobella Bag - similar
