More than five hundred years later, the Scottish tartan print has proved truly timeless. Earlier this year, Karl Lagerfeld reinvented the traditional classic with Chanel's fall/winter 2013-2014 collection and since then we've seen a resurgence of plaid in the form of fuzzy knits, modern capes, high neck crop tops, wide leg trousers and so much more. For styling plaid, I recommend keeping the look neutral and warm with shades like nut-brown, charcoal-gray, carmel and of course, black always works. There are so many variations of tartan available right now, below is a little inspiration on how to integrate the classic pattern into your wardrobe if you haven't already.
