I wore this number to my grandma's Christmas Eve church service. I'm really not a church-goer, but I'll take any excuse to dress up. More importantly, my grandmother organized the service at her town church, so I couldn't refuse. I'll admit, I thoroughly enjoyed the bell choir and candle lighting during Silent Night.
Seeing as it was church, I aimed to wear something more subdued and conservative, but still edgy. So here is my take on "pious urban chic." I love these flare pattern trousers from Forever21. I got them two years ago and haven't worn them much since, but church seemed appropriate. While rummaging through my moms closet the other day I came upon this sequin flowered chiffon tank. Can't wait to wear it with jeans later this week in California. The brown blazer is a vintage gem. The long fur hooded vest by Kristen Blake is a recent purchase from Nordstrom Rack in Boulder. Tip: they have an amazing selection of fur – faux and real – for a steal!
I'm all about fur this holiday season and, well, basically always.
