It was a truly a Halloween miracle that my last-minute unicorn costume came together so well. I was in the library till eight last night, hustling to finish a paper so I could go out. I planned on dressing up as a unicorn so over the weekend I bought a purple feather boa, baby pink shimmery gloves, and a headband and a piece of thick sparkley construction paper to make a uni-horn. I also bought fabric to make some sort of dress but I went a little too wild with a glue gun and so I tossed that botch job in the garbage. With the clock ticking I frantically hunted through my closet and scrounged up a tight white BCBG miniskirt and a Forever21 sequined tank and to top it off, knee high socks and tan suede booties for hoofs. But the true cherry on top was the white fur coat my roommate Shelby happened to have chilling in the back of her trunk that she scored for $18 at Buffalo Exchange. The final touches: a hefty amount of glitter, chrome purple eyeliner and a bow rhinestone ring.
And my room just got a little livelier--the zebra above my bed now has a pretty uni-horn and boa mane. Success.
