my cozy little cottage after the first snow of the season
leaving campus after a long night at the library
The feeling when I opened my bedroom binds to find fresh powdered trees yesterday morning was something like a giddy, footie-pajamaed six year old on Christmas morning (or first night of Hanukah) delight. Walking on campus was mesmerizing since most of the trees still had their autumn leaves and the contrast of crisp white snow against weeping branches was so picturesque that even my Aspen native roomate became somewhat of a tourist.
I bought that velvet Free People skirt three years ago online and I've been in love with it ever since. It reminds me of some of the figure skating dresses my best friend wore back in fourth grade, which I seriously coveted. And for those of you looking for gloves, cashmere-lined leather is the way to go. They are durable and your fingers will love you forever, the only downside-- I can't instagram and walk at the same time (just kidding, kinda).
